Extent: Eastern Lachlan Orogen: Narromine, Dubbo, Forbes, Bathurst, Cootamundra, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Canberra, Tallangatta (NSW only), Bega and Mallacoota (NSW only) 1:250 000 map sheet areas. Version 2 extends the solid geology coverage north to the Queensland border, incorporating extensive interpretation of basement geology beneath the Gunnedah and Surat Basins.
Content: The Eastern Lachlan Orogen Geoscience Database (version 2) represents a solid geology interpretation of the Eastern Subprovince of the Lachlan Orogen, featuring stratigraphic, tectonic, mineral occurrences, whole rock geochemical and geophysical data. Included are solid geology and structural layers, transect time-space plots, point data (mineral occurrences, whole rock geochemistry, petrography, isotopic ages), geophysical images and geographical base data.
Comments: Version 2 includes: new solid basement geology layers, new cover geology layers, new structural layers and time-space plots, new Ordovician Macquarie Arc whole rock geochemistry, together with updated geophysical images and the latest mineral deposit data.
Version 2 includes approximately 1Gb of data and is available on DVD.
