The NSW Children's Court is a special protective jurisdiction with a strong emphasis on the rehabilitation of the offender. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the offenders and offences dealt with by the Children's Court in 2010 and shows the emerging sentencing patterns. The monograph compiles the 20 most common proven principal offences for the Children's Court for 2010, highlights the penalties that were imposed for those offences and provides an overall profile of the juvenile offenders who were sentenced in 2010 and the kinds of offences they committed.
